Album Theme

"I-Empire follows We Don't Need To Whisper in personifying the idea that not only can you change the world not only by looking at yourself differently, but also by looking at the world differently.
When you watch the news, it's really negative. When you listen to music, it consistently seems like bands are angry, or they're covering themselves in makeup and crying and being weird about it. But with us, we like the idea of being optimistic, and to be optimistic and to believe in something greater than yourself seems to be the most uncool thing in the world.
The album intends to paint a portrait of a landscape in your head and make you feel like you are among a group of people who want to feel like you do. When everyone feels hope at the same time, wonderful things can happen."
– Tom DeLonge
